Whitney is a Licensed Professional Counselor (#P1605061). She graduated with her Master's of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2011 and has worked in a variety of settings since from an inpatient addictions treatment center to community mental health now with six years in private practice.
Whitney is passionate about helping others find healing after trauma. She primarily works with individuals who have experienced any type of traumatic stress- from early attachment trauma to recent overwhelming events. She diligently pursues specialized training in order to better serve clients who are dealing with the complexity of symptoms of traumatic stress. Over the past three years, her focus has been on intensive training in Somatic Experiencing, a three-year training program based on the work of Dr. Peter Levine. Whitney completed her Somatic Experiencing Practitioner (SEP) certification in October of 2018. She also has participated in specialized training with IITAP (International Institute of Trauma and Addiction Professionals) and BASE (Bodywork and Somatic Education).
